Saturday was the 3rd Annual Sgt. Connolly Bags Tournament held at the Sons of Italy in Woburn.  It was a show of force as an entire community came out to celebrate the memory of Sgt. Paul Connolly and to raise money for the Woburn Pop Warner Football Program.  Kudos to the tournament organizers as they brilliantly managed the 64 team double-elimination tournament.  As always, a job well done!

On to the competition....the favorites, Parker-Squared, lived up to the top billing by enjoying an undefeated day and handing The Grusome Doosome their only two losses including a closely contested All-Woburn final!  The Doosome were tough and claimed second place by knocking out Nothing But Nasty, the Boston Cornhole entered team.  We were not able to crack the Woburn brass, but we are very pleased to have finished in the money!  Even with the absence of some top players, the level of competition was very high!

The Final Pecking Order:
  • Parker Squared (Randy and Randy)
  • The Grusome Doosome (Dave and Shaun)
  • Nothing But Nasty (Mike and Shawn)
