Is Lowell the new Woburn?
It was a great day in Pawtucket, Rhode Island for the 2nd Annual Pawtucket Pacers tournament at the Boundary Brewhouse. A unique event that featured the Pawtucket Pacer Athletes partnering with some of the area's finest cornhole players to open the festivities. Twenty-four teams filled out a very competitive field in the main event. There were no easy matches in this one and nobody made things more difficult than the duo from Lowell. The cornhole landscape is ever-changing and the latest twist is the Asian Invasion led by Pigeon and Henry. The champs had an undefeated run to the finals and held off a spirited, double-dip challenge from the hometown Rhody Brothers. Rounding out the money spots were the Lowry/Rielly pairing in 3rd place and Lounge/Hargreaves in 4th.
Kudos also go out to Lisa and her team who did an amazing job putting the event together. In my opinion, the raffle cards with the silent draw is unobtrusive and the best way to incorporate raffles into a tournament! All in all, a HOLE lot of fun this past Saturday and every Monday at the Boundary Brewhouse!
