The Southern States dominate the 4th Annual Fenway Cornhole Classic!

Cole Mason and Blake Sparrow

4-Time Champs Scott Lane and Chris Cuccia

Melissa Adams and Greg Stanley

Independence Day, baseball, fireworks, and cornhole...does it get any more American than that!? If you're patriotic, Boston was the place to be this weekend as 200+ of our closest friends converged once again inside the friendly confines of Fenway Park for the 4th Annual Fenway Cornhole Classic. Different year, same champs as Scott Lane and Chris Cuccia capped the 4-peat with an undefeated run. Was there ever any doubt? Well, maybe as rumor had it another strong Florida team was making the trip to the Hub. Cole Mason and Blake Sparrow from the Magic Kingdom lived up to expectations with a silver medal finish, but did not quite have enough tricks up their sleeves to dethrone the champs. Rounding out the top three were Melissa Adams and Greg Stanley from North Carolina. This couple got engaged at the NC State Championships last weekend and continued the cornhole fairy tale with an impressive run to the winner's bracket finals. However, after a clutch shot from Chris Cuccia, the honeymoon was over. Nonetheless, a third place finish made for a very successful Boston trip!

New England Cornholers...

Despite having three state champions in the field, 2016 marked the first year that no New England team climbed the podium. Now I know that we are getting better, but after seeing some "We were the top New England Team" and "We only lost to the top three teams" facebook posts, I am torn between defending our guys or lighting a fire under them! Are we really satisfied with losing? We live in Titletown and with that comes expectations! Would you ever expect Tom Brady to say that the Patriots would be satisfied with winning the AFC East? I am not saying that we should cheat to win, but we need to be better. Big competition, big stage, and we need big results! Let's show the ACO that they should walk through that door with a Major in Boston!

Thank you...

A big thanks to everyone that played from pedestrian to professional. Without you, there is no tournament and it is truly our pleasure to host this event each year. This year we featured four new quadrant directors whose execution was top notch. Big ups to Shon Haley and Karl Franck from 603 Cornhole, Tim Grew and Mike Lounge from South Shore Cornhole, Jose Rivera and Joe Masareth from Southbridge Cornhole, and Lance Madden. Finally, my hat is off to Travis Pollio and the Boston Red Sox. Four years ago, you gave Boston Cornhole a chance and four sellouts later we have one of the hottest cornhole tickets in the country! I am pleased to announce that we are extending the field in 2017 to 128 teams. See you next year!
