40 Plus and the Woburn Little League are both winners!
With more than 50 teams in the mix, Saturday may have been the most competitive cornhole field to ever fill The Sons of Italy in Woburn. In the end it was 40 Plus notching yet another victory, but there were some big bumps on the road to the podium. The Rhody Brothers, Dave and John Moran, defeated the champs in a close winner's bracket final. But, the Woburn natives rebounded to double-dip the brothers in the final two matches of the tourney. While the top teams get the press, it should be noted that there was plenty of talent in the building. It was great to see many of my Tuesday Night cornholers getting out and battling!
The singles tournament came down to two of the best pitchers in the area with Rich Queen matched against Jeff Bachand. Rich scored a victory for the North Shore closing out more than seven hours of cornhole! Special thanks go out to Mike Doherty who did a magnificent job running the tournaments!
