The Cream of the Crop at Jake n JOES

We wrapped up our Captain Morgan Summer Cornhole Series at Jake N JOES in Norwood this past Thursday and it was a blast! With the return of several past champions, it was a highly competitive, drama-filled evening. In our special "Champions Only" Last Man Standing event, competitors matched each other bag for bag right down to a do-or-die finish with a single bag. Dave, pictured above, stayed cool under pressure to win the event and a new premium BAM Woodworks Cornhole Set!

15 teams entered the tournament competition. While tested throughout the night, it was no surprise that two returning champion teams met in the best of 3 finals. Our Last Man Standing Dave and his partner, Phil, jumped out in front by winning a very competitive first game. However, Stephen and Tom, encouraged by their vocal cheerleader, stormed back to sweep the second game 21-0 and built an insurmountable lead in the final game of the match. Congratulations to Stephen and Tom who took home a $50 gift card from Jake n JOES.

Not only did we have returning champions on Thursday night, we had many familiar faces pitching bags. We enjoyed this summer season and would like to sincerely thank all of those who have played with us!
